The Federation of Accounting Professions (TFAC) continues its mission to elevate the Thai accounting profession to international levels by sending representatives to key regional meetings. TFAC participated in the 112th ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Services (CCS) held from 1–3 February 2026, in Singapore. The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kriengkrai Boonlert-u-thai, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Sub-committee, together with Ms. Napat Liamsomboon, Foreign Service Officer. They were supported by Ms. Renee Palakajorsak, Academic Specialist, who participated virtually.
A key focus of these meetings was monitoring the progress of the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on Accountancy Services. Currently, there are over 8,500 registered ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountants (ASEAN CPAs) across the region. Thailand’s contribution to these total stands at 1,002 registered professionals, reflecting the strong capability and readiness of Thai accountants on the international stage.

The significant highlight was the update provided by the Department of Business Development (DBD) regarding the new notification on "Qualifications and Conditions for Bookkeepers B.E. 2568 (2025)." This update aims to establish clearer professional standards that align with contemporary business contexts and international practices.
Furthermore, Thailand has been honored to host the next round of meetings in June 2026. This will be a valuable opportunity to showcase the strength and progress of the Thai accounting profession while further deepening regional cooperation and fostering sustainable professional partnerships among ASEAN member states.
