Federation of Accounting Professions (TFAC) participates in the 142nd AFA Council Meeting

          On 7 – 8 May 2026, Federation of Accounting Professions (TFAC) as Thailand's national professional accountancy organization and a member of the ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA), participated in the 142nd AFA Council Meeting held in Singapore.
          Mr. Winid Silamongkol, President of TFAC, and Assoc. Prof. Dr.Kriengkrai Boonlert-U-Thai, Chairman, Foreign Affairs Sub-committee, attended the meeting alongside representatives from the international professional accountancy organizations.
          TFAC's participation aimed to lay the foundation for the future of the accounting profession in the ASEAN region. The meeting placed a significant emphasis on the impact of emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning, which will play a crucial role in shaping the direction of the profession and the operations of professional organizations.
          Furthermore, the discussions covered the role of professional bodies in driving value creation for businesses and accounting practitioners. The meeting also received updates from global organizations, including the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), with leading professional bodies such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and CPA Australia participating to exchange knowledge and elevate regional professional standards to international recognition.
